The Numbers and the Stories Behind Them


In 2020, Houston Furniture Bank worked with over 45 local nonprofits to provide essential furniture to 1,272 families, distributing 14,374 pieces of furniture. Included in this number were over 1,000 beds provided to children as a part of Houston Furniture Bank's "No Kids on the Floor" initiative, up from 662 in 2019. Every day at Houston Furniture Bank, families arrive with their caseworker to select furniture for their homes. . We are able to provide them with essential furniture, thanks to your donations! Junior League of Houston Gives $16,200 to the ‘No Kids on the Floor’ Campaign


Houston Furniture Bank is the proud recipient of a Community Assistance Grant of $16,200 from the Junior League of Houston! The grant will go to support Houston Furniture Bank’s “No Kids on the Floor” initiative, which provides beds for children in need. Houstonians Donate Bedding for 400 Children!


The second-annual “No Kids on the Floor” Bedding Drive was a great success! Heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated! Individual Houstonians, furniture retailers, interior designers came together to help children in need during the holiday season. Altogether, new bedding for 400 children was donated! During December, many individuals and businesses purchased bedding online which arrived daily at Houston Furniture Bank! Others visited participating retailers and partners to drop off their donations of cozy bedding. Hurricane Relief for Honduras with St. Thomas High School

2021-01-04T14:20:28-06:00 Over the holiday break, St. Thomas High School partnered with Houston Furniture Bank, Spanish nonprofit Ayuda en Accion and DOLE to help families affected by hurricanes Eta and Iota in Honduras.
